Originally from Long Island, New York, Elijah is a dedicated leader committed to empowering youth through basketball. He earned his B.A. in Health Systems Management from UNC Charlotte and is currently pursuing his M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies at Liberty University.
As Founder, Vice President, and Treasurer of HOOP4CHANGE Foundation, Elijah oversees the organization’s strategic direction and operations. He also serves as a U.S. Army Reservist, demonstrating his commitment to service both in his community and country.
Elijah’s vision is to use basketball as a powerful tool for youth development, community building, and creating lasting social change in underserved communities.
I created Hoop4Change to give youth a safe, inspiring space to grow not just through basketball, but through sports in general. Coming from a place where opportunities were limited, I wanted to build something that developed both athletic ability and life skills. My experiences in college, the military, and community service showed me the power of structure, mentorship, and giving back. Hoop4Change is my way of passing that on.
